National Printers is committed to preserving and protecting our environment through recycling all raw materials and, is certified by both the Forest Stewardship Council Canada and the EcoLogo program.

Our staff is well-versed and ready to help in environmentally friendly printing options including the use of recycled papers and vegetable-based inks.
We are an exclusively Computer to Plate (CTP) printer – thereby eliminating the use of film and chemicals. All metal is recycled.
All inks used are vegetable based, and all coatings used are water based.
We encourage the use of recycled paper and always offer it as an alternative, even when the clients do not request it. All scrap paper and waste is recycled through Metro Waste Paper Recovery.
We re-use our wooden shipping and warehouse pallets.
We recycle all used printing plates through Ottawa Iron and Metal.
Approximately 90% of paper pulp is made from wood and over 40% of the wood harvested goes to making paper products. It is estimated that using recycled material to make paper products saves between 40% and 60% of the energy that it takes to create paper products from raw material.
